Need inspiration for your next 3D object project??? Take a bunch of pictures of things and put them into gifs to get a real feel for what the object may look like as a 3D model if you’re struggling to complete a photogrammetry pipeline.
Did you know if you select a bunch of photos and click create in Samsung you can make gifs??? I didn’t! What a cool concept. I made some of my own which inspired me to try photogrammetry again for the first time in a while. One of these days I’ll get the hang of photogrammetry techniques but for now, these gifs are going to stand as replacements!

An Old Car I found on a small kayaking trip in Saskatchewan this past summer.

Montreal Canadiens Goalie Helmet Memorabilia. Found this puppy at a garage sale as a kid.

A bell with runic inscriptions and 5 scenes of human ritual. This sculpture adds a certain beauty to the statue garden at the University of Saskatchewan.

An ecojar I started this fall. Protip, if you are bored then just throw some mud in a jar and see what happens. You may even get some fun sprouts that can add a great piece of decor for arrangements of oddities.

Pelican Statue from the north campus at the University of Saskatchewan. If any statue has a chance at becoming a 3d model it’s this one. Stay tuned!
While these may not give us the 3D models we desire with photogrammetry, the turnaround currently inspires me to forge ahead and give photogrammetry another go! Thanks for stopping by!
